This course is designed to prepare students for a rewarding and exciting career as a Pharmacy Technician. The student will learn how to be an asset to the pharmacist in a pharmacy setting, retail or a hospital. The students will learn rules, regulations, laws, and how to read doctors' orders. They will learn data entry in the pharmacy setting, order and inventory drugs, manage insurance claims, and know medication names (brand and generic) for both settings.

The Youth Workforce is a federally funded grant program that may be able to assist you in paying for this course. They work with students ages 18-24 that meet certain grant requirements.
